Tuneful New C vs. C Project Lurks
It has become part of the game for basketball teams to take to the floor for pregame warm-ups with some sort of ear-drum splitting, barely comprehensible musical (?) accompaniment.
Dr. Dave Haswell, the man behind the ties, wants to harness the power of the pre-game music to raise even more funds for Coaches Vs. Cancer.
Haswell said Tuesday night that during Coaches vs. Cancer week at HCE later this month and in early February, folks will be able to make requests for songs to be included on the mix tape the Emerald Knights will hear as they warm up. Both varsity and JV will have this treat!
While details are still being worked out, Haswell said fans most likely will be able to donate to Coaches Vs. Cancer and have a song included on the CD the Knights will listen to as the prepare to play. There should be about 10 songs on the varsity CD and 10 more on the JV’s.
So start digging through those Edison wax cylinders, hit Napster for your favorite polka or dust off your CD of Tuvan throat singing and write a check.
